Sire: Desperado
A gorgeous black stallion with a dream pedigree. At his performance test, Desperado scored 89.5, including a 9.5 for the canter. In 2012, Desperado won the Pavo Cup as a 4-year-old and in 2013 he finished second. In that year he also competed at the World Young Dressage Horse championships horses in Verden and finished seventh in the final. As a 6-year-old he also competed at the WYDHC in Verden, this time he finished eighth in the final. In 2018 he made his debut at Grand Prix with Emmelie Scholtens at only 10-year old after winning the annual VHO Trophy held at the 2018 KWPN Stallion Licensing in 's Hertogenbosch.
Sire - Vivaldi, Desperado's sire, was very successful at the small tour level under Han Peter Minderhoud and has an excellent reputation as dressage performer. He was reserve champion of his stallion performance test and in 2007 he won the Pavo-Cup of five-year-old dressage horses with Hans Peter Minderhoud. In 2008 and 2009, he added triumphs in the KNHS/KWPN stallion series achieving marks of 10.0 for his trot. At the World Championships in Verden in 2015, his son Eye Catcher won the bronze medal of the six-year-olds. In 2015 and 2016, his son Fenix won the five and six-year-old Pavo-Cup in the Netherlands. The Pavo-Cup of six-year-olds was a real festival for Vivaldi in 2016, when behind Fenix, in second and third place, were First Apple and Fantastique, both Vivaldi progeny. In 2018 he was awarded Preferent status.
Damline - Mother Sarita is a successful dressage mare herself, and a daughter of Havidoff (Harpsichord x Farn). She is also the mother of the stallion Chinook, full brother to Desperado, who in 2011 was reserve champion of the Pavo Cup for four-year-olds. Her dam and grand-dam are both state premium mares, and in addition to successful dressage horses this damline has produced grand prix showjumpers as well.
Progeny - Desperado is the sire of four licensed sons, among them the hugely exciting Ibiza (from a Jazz x Contango mare) who blew the audience away at his Oldenburg licensing. In 2017 Ibiza was awarded “Hauptpremium Seiger” in Oldenburg.
Ibiza shined as the celebrated Oldenburg main premium winner. When deciding which stallion is to receive a main premium, not only the stallion’s achievements in sport but also the result of his performance test and, even more important, the quality of his first foal crop, are deciding factors.
Dam: Bugatti ST. Elite, Prok
Dam Bugatti St is an exceptionally well bred and highly graded mare. She was awarded Keur status at her grading, scoring highly on all three gaits. Following a very successful performance test and completion of the strict KWPN X Rays she has now been granted ELITE status!
Her breeding is impeccable, with line breeding to the legendary Donnerhall and a blue chip dam line. Every mare on her damline is graded ELITE and has the Sport dressage predicate too. This exceptional quality of the dam line is truly outstanding. She is also beautiful, kind and gentle with the most amazing hind leg I have ever seen.
Her sire Discovery is a stunning black stallion with three powerful gaits. He completed a very successful performance test scoring 9 for type, 8 for trot and 8 for canter. Discovery has a strong hind leg, a beautiful use of the front leg and is very easy to ride with great rideability. His father Dolany is a son of the legendary stallion Donnerhall, who is also the father of Don Schufro and Don Primero. Dolany came 3rd at the German Bundeschampionat.
Bugatti's dam Vienna was successful in dressage competing to such a high level she was awarded the prestigious Sport predicate by the KWPN. She is also an Elite mare. Her mother and her mother's mother are also all Elite mares and have the Sport dressage predicate. Vienna's sire is the famous Blue Hors Don Schufro by Donnerhall. Don Schufro is an
Elite stallion, Danish Champion and Olympic bronze team winner in Hong Kong! Don Schufro continuously produces top results. In 2010 his progeny made the headlines time after time. His daughter UNO Donna Unique became 6-year-old World Champion in Verden and Danish Champion in Odense, a son of Don Schufro became licensing champion in Oldenburg and the 7-year-old dressage champion in Falsterbo 2010 was Dejavu ridden by Patrik Kittel.
Bugatti's maternal grand sire the Preferent stallion Flemmingh, was one the most famous dressage stallions in the KWPN. The Preferent predicate is the highest award the KWPN can give which demonstrates just how outstanding Flemmingh was. He placed third at his performance test in 1990, scoring three 9s, including a 9 for jumping. Flemmingh is the sire of Anky van Grunsven’s now retired Grand Prix horse Krack C, as well as Cathy Morelli’s BeSe, and Imke Schellekens-Bartels’ Melvin, among many other notable dressage horses and numerous ster and keur mares.
