Magnificent Oldenburg gelding by World Champion Fürst Heinrich. This boy has it all, World Class breeding, sensational movement, great presence and wonderful trainability.

Fürst Larkshill has been in professional training in Germany for 2 years. We were keeping him as a Grand Prix Prospect but due to a change of circumstances he is now offered to sale to an exceptional home. He is the best we have bred and is a true World Class contender.

Won and Qualified for the Badminton Young Horse Championships first time out!

June 2010 Update
We took Fürst Larkshill to a Badminton Young Horse qualifier on Sunday and much to our surprise and joy he won! He was in a mixed class of 4 & 5 year olds and as he is only 4 and it was only his second ever show, we didn't expect very much.......... so when the scores went up and he won by more than 5% we were thrilled! Thanks to Matt Burnett who rode him and to Darren Mattia who is producing him.

Fürst Larkshill's walk is outstanding, loose with a great over track. His trot is cadenced and rhythmical and he has a wonderfully expressive uphill canter. His action is free, loose and he has an extremely active hind leg. Fürst Larkshill is a very impressive horse who naturally carries himself and has the talent and athletic ability to perform at the highest levels. This ability is no surprise as his pedigree is World Class and carries some of the most famous dressage producers including the legendary Donnerhall on both sides of his pedigree.

Evaluation as a yearling by Dr Keuhl of the Oldenburg Verband, resulted in him being named a Stallion Prospect. We decided not to present him for grading in the end as we were keeping him as a Grand Prix prospect for my niece and we have gelded him. My niece rode him when he was a just backed 3 year old and she was only just 15 and only used to riding ponies and he was so well behaved and quiet. He has been produced slowly and correctly.

He has been to one competition as a 3 year old in Germany. He was in a class of 18 and was one of only three 3  year olds - all the rest were 4, we are delighted he came 5th – not bad for his first time out! The judges really liked him and gave him a 8.5 for his canter and walk but commented that he was a little croup high - so they thought there is more movement to come! He is currently 166cm.

Sire Fürst Heinrich
His sire Fürst Heinrich was a truly significant sire on the basis of his own performance record and
off-spring. He was the: winner of the 30 day test in Münster Handorf 2001 with the best scores in both dressage and jumping. Undisputed champion in the four year old stallions competing for the Main Premium at the Oldenburg Stallion day 2002. Celebrated 2003 World Champion of five year old dressage horses in Verden. In 2004 his first young sons appeared at approvals and made a sensational debut never seen before: in Vechta he presented not only the Champion but also the Reserve Champion stallion at the Oldenburg approval. In Münster-Handorf, Fürst Grandioso became the 1st Reserve Champion and Fürst Romadour a Premium stallion. With 11 licensed sons just from his first crop, he more than proved his exceptional hereditary powers.   Fürst Larkshill shares a very similar pedigree to the 2004 Oldenburg Licensing Champion Van The Man who was also by Fürst Heinrich out of a Volturno mare.

Dam Monik
Monik is a stunning black German mare by Champion Grand Prix stallion De Niro.  De Niro gives his foals outstanding movement, extremely high 'rideability' and beautiful type. De Niro was Reserve Champion of his Performance Test scoring 9s in all three gaits and was awarded the highest score for 'rideability' (9,67). At 7 years old De Niro was already succeeding at Grand Prix level. In 2001 he was Champion dressage horse at the German Championship for Professional Riders. De Niro's sire, Donnerhall, held the highest dressage breeding value index of all stallions. He was placed second amongst 70 stallions at his performance test and went on to become DLG Champion in 1986. Donnerhall won more than 65 FEI Level and Grand Prix competitions and competed successfully until he was retired. His dam's sire, Akzent II, is regarded as one of the best sires for producing 'rideability' in modern sport horse breeding, and has produced many approved stallions and expensive auction horses. De Niro has already produced more than 45 approved sons. In addition to 2 vice-champion stallions, De Niro also produced Dancier, the champion stallion at the stallion licensing in Verden.

The great grandsire is leading 3 day event maestro Volturno, who was champion at his Oldenburg stallion licensing. He went on to be a member of the 1976 German Silver Medal 3-day team and was on the German Olympic team again in 1980.  Volturno won over 20 international events and retired sound and became Europe's leading Warmblood three-day event sire.

September 2006
Tango attended the Oldenburg Verband’s foal inspection and we are thrilled that he was awarded a Premium. The representative from the Verband particularly liked his loose rhythmical movement and commented on his excellent conformation.
