August 2008
Ede went to the BEF British Breeding Futurity and is awarded very high scoring First Premium Award. She scored 9.5s, 9's & 8.75s for all categories with a final score of 8.90 -just missing the Elite title by 0.1%. She was the 3rd highest scoring horse in the Dressage category, just behind big sister Supremacy and qualifies for the Championship Show!
Stedinger
Stedinger was the radiant and unequivocal approval winner of the 2002 Oldenburg Stallion Grading. He is a modern, elegant stallion, large framed, with a formidable overall appearance and highly elastic in every respect.
He now has 12 licensed sons including champion stallion Status Quo. In 2006, six of his off-spring qualified for the German Foal Championship where his daughter, Sinfonie became Champion Filly in 2004.
His first riding horses have been sold at auctions and the demand for his foals has not slowed down – in Verden nine of his off-spring were in the auction, making him one of the main "suppliers". Five of his foals have qualified for the German Foal Championships and several mares are State Premium candidates. Three of these mares were selected for the Elite Broodmare Show in Rastede where one finished in the Brillantring. After winning many dressage tests at medium (M) level, he is now being trained by Dieter Weichert for the next level in dressage. In spite of a heavy breeding load, Stedinger did an outstanding job at his 70-day test in Neustadt/Dosse, finishing with a total index of 131 (dressage 130.72 / jumping 121.92) and qualified in 2005 for the Bundeschampionat in the class for German dressage horses in Warendorf.
Stedinger's sire Sandro Hit was the 1999 World Champion of the 6-year-old dressage horses in Arnheim. Sandro Hit is one of the most sought after contemporary sires and presented us with Poetin, the 2003 World Champion of the 6-year-old dressage horses, who reached the record price of 2.5 million Euros at the PSI auction in Ankum.
Libitina
Libitina is one of the Stud’s foundation mares and has produced some outstanding offspring. At the 2008 BEF British Breeding Elite Championships Carl Hester named her the
2008 British Breeding Champion Dressage Broodmare out of 16 mares! We were so delighted, one more Championship title to add to her growing list!
She bred the 2006/7 Best British Bred Trakehner and Young Stock Champion Larkshill Lexington. At the British Dressage National Foal Show both Lakota and Lexington both scored 82% and were the highest placed Trakehners in their year. Legend came second at the British Dressage Young Horse Breeding Championships as a yearling. In 2005 she received the recognition she deserves for producing outstanding progeny when she won the Trakehner Breeders Fraternity’s Mare Family Championship, along with her daughters Larkshill Lakota by Kostolany and Larkshill Lexington by E.H. Hohenstein.
